Prototype of an Affective Game

Prototype of an Affective Video Game is an innovative game project designed to explore the fascinating fusion of emotion and gameplay. Developed as part of a final-year project, this game showcases  the player's emotional state as an additional input, enhancing the horror-themed gaming experience. 

Key Features:

• Horror-Themed Gameplay: Immerse yourself in a horror adventure with traditional keyboard and mouse controls. Hide from enemy AI to avoid encounters, and the only means to escape is to outrun it.
• Facial Emotion Recognition: Integrates facial emotion recognition technology, allowing the game engine to respond to your emotional cues, intensifying the horror experience.
• Heartbeat Sensor Integration: Arduino-based heartbeat sensor to monitor your heart rate, adding an extra layer of immersion and tension to the gameplay.
• Biofeedback System: Experience real-time gameplay adjustments based on your affective state, determined by facial emotions and heart rate. The game responds to your emotional reactions, making each playthrough unique.

Note: While the full implementation includes facial emotion recognition and a heartbeat sensor, please refer to the video for a demonstration with the heartbeat sensor, as it requires separate hardware and 3rd party plugins and software.
